Cognitive-Behavioral-TherapyWe use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and various other techniques at Orlando Counseling Services. It is believed that distorted and dysfunctional thinking is common to all psychological disturbances.

We begin by evaluating how a person processes information and then we modify it so the person can improve their mood and behavior. Sometimes the way a person thinks is so powerful it can make them physically ill. Our mind plays a powerful role in our lives. It is important to understand that our thoughts are not always truthful. They can be telling us lies that we live by and make decisions from. It is important to become aware of those thoughts by bringing them out and exposing them. We believe this is an integral part of the counseling process. It is the beginning of how to make positive changes.
